Bosch Rexroth’s versatile Rexroth IndraDrive platform is a vast drive system with numerous components. One of these is the HCS drive converter with a compact frame and multiple interfaces to improve its flexibility. Typically, its applications include machine tools and general automation.

The HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-NN-L3-NN-FW is a drive converter in the HCS series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is compatible with control sections in the ADVANCED range and uses sercos III as a master for cross communication. Its cooling method is natural convection, where heat exchange with the ambient air is induced by a temperature gradient. The drive converter has a compact build that permits its installation within a control cabinet where it is cooled. In this housing, it is mounted per the G1 style to aid cooling and prevent the formation of pockets of heat. It also has a maximum current rating of 6A and works with a three-phase AC mains voltage between 110V and 230V as its mains connection voltage.

Encoders that are compatible with the HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-NN-L3-NN-FW include the MSM motor encoder, the MS2N motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder; with reference track. Its safety technology module is Safe Torque Off (STO) to prevent the motor’s unintentional startup. It also has a standard control panel with a single-line display for viewing its command and error diagnoses and pending warnings. With its IP 20 Ingress Protection rating per EN 60529, the HCS drive converter does not permit dust ingress or the penetration of solid extrinsic objects over 12mm. The designated ambient temperature range for its operation is from 0^oC to 40^oC.
