Typical applications of Bosch Rexroth’s HCS drive converters include machine tools, general automation, printing machines, and food packaging and processing machines. To ensure application-specific use, these IndraDrive control units are designed with high-level flexibility through the addition of optional units. They are also compact, having been built for simple handling and installation.

The HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-ET-L3-NN-FW is a model of Bosch Rexroth’s HCS drive converters with a sercos III module serving as the master for cross-communication. It also has a Multi-Ethernet communication module that supports different Ethernet field bus systems, including sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO. Because of its compact build, it can easily be mounted within control cabinets in line with the G1 style. There, it is cooled via natural convection, and its mounting style prevents potentially damaging heat pockets from forming. Like other models in this series, it comes with a multi-encoder interface for numerous standard encoder types.

Designed for control sections in the ADVANCED range, the HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-ET-L3-NN-FW accommodates a maximum current of 6A. Its recommended mains connecting voltage is a three-phase AC mains voltage between 110V and 230V. It is dustproof and safe from the penetration of solid extrinsic materials over 12mm; hence, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 20 according to EN 60529. The permitted switching frequencies for the drive converter’s operation are 4kHz, 8kHz, 12kHz, and 16kHz. A standard control panel with a single-line display and four operating keys has been built into the device. It serves as a programming module and shows the machine’s operating states, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings. The use of firmware is also accepted, but it must be purchased separately.
