Drive converters are compact units in the IndraDrive Cs drive system. The HCS drive converters are notable for their flexibility since they allow the addition of options for application-specific use.

The HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-EM-NN-NN-FW is a model of compact drive converters in the HCS series. It has a multi-encoder interface for connecting standard encoder systems with supply voltage requirements of 5V and 12V. These include the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, the MSM motor encoder, the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track. The drive converter’s Ingress Protection rating is IP 20, in line with EN 60529. This means that it is dustproof and impermeable to solid external objects over 12mm in diameter. It also supports housing within a control cabinet where it is mounted per the G1 mounting style. In this cabinet, natural convection is the designated cooling mechanism, and it prevents the generation of pockets of heat in the component.

A standard control panel is used to program the HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-EM-NN-NN-FW. It has a single-line display with four operating keys and is a valuable tool for fault identification and resolution. Its display shows operating states, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings. This HCS model can accommodate a maximum current of 6A and is operated with a three-phase AC mains voltage between 110V and 230V. It supports switching frequencies of 4kHz, 8kHz, 12kHz, and 16kHz. Firmware use is allowed with the drive converter, but it must be ordered separately. As a product of Category C3 in line with IEC 61800-3, it should not be used in a public low-voltage mains that supplies residential areas.
