The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-L4-NN-FW is a model of the HCS drive converters of Bosch Rexroth’s IndraDrive Cs family. It is equipped with an encoder emulation interface for emulating absolute value and incremental encoder signals. These signals are evaluated by a control unit and are galvanically isolated from the circuit board. The HCS drive converter also supports multiple Ethernet field bus systems, including sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO. This is because its master communication module is Multi-Ethernet. Its supported control sections are those in the BASIC control section range. According to EN 60529, the Ingress Protection rating of this HCS model is IP 20, indicating that it will not admit solid extrinsic objects larger than 12mm.

Installation within a control cabinet is possible with the HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-L4-NN-FW because of its compact size. The drive converter is also cooled by an internal cooling mechanism within this control cabinet. Its maximum current is 5A, and its operation requires a three-phase AC voltage between 200V and 500V as its mains connecting voltage. The multi-encoder interface on the control unit allows standard encoders such as the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the MSK encoder, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. It also comes with the STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control) safety technology options.
