The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-L3-NN-FW is an IndraDrive Cs drive converter model designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It communicates with other parts of the drive system via its Ethernet master communication module.  This module also allows it to be integrated into several Ethernet field bus systems, including sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO. Like other models in the HCS series, this drive converter is compact and suitable for mounting in a control cabinet. It will not admit solid extrinsic objects over 12mm; hence, it has an Ingress Protection Rating of IP 20 according to EN 60529. Its cooling is achieved via an internal cooling system with airflow within the control cabinet.

An encoder emulation interface in the HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-L3-NN-FW emulates absolute value and incremental encoder signals. These signals are galvanically isolated from the circuit board and evaluated by a control unit. The drive converter also has an interface that supports standard encoders with 5V and 12V supply voltages. These encoders include the MSK motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, and the SHL02.1 Hall sensor box. The maximum current accommodated by the device is 5A while its mains connecting voltage is a three-phase AC current between 110V and 230V. Its compatible control section is the BASIC type.
