Bosch Rexroth’s HCS01 series is a multi-protocol capable compact drive system with several outstanding features. These include compact construction, Ethernet-based communications with multi-protocol support, multi-encoder interface, and optional integrated safety technology. The HCS drive converters are used to operate IndraDyn motors and third-party motors like rotary and linear asynchronous motors and synchronous motors. They have a wide area of applications, including general automation, assembly, handling, machine tools, food and packaging machines, printing machines, and the semiconductor industry.

The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-EC-S4-NN-FW is a compact drive converter in the HCS01 series designed for BASIC UNIVERSAL control units, and its control communication is via a multi-Ethernet interface. Multiple protocols are supported by this communication interface, such as SERCOS III, PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCat. Also, it supports multiple standard encoders due to its multi-encoder interface. These encoders include the MSK motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the MS2N motor encoder, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track.

Safe Motion is the integrated safety technology of the HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-EC-S4-NN-FW. It can accommodate a maximum current of 5A and operates with a three-phase AC voltage ranging from 200V to 500V. Heat elimination in this model is via internal air cooling within its control cabinet. It is equipped with a standard control panel which can also be used as a programming module. The standard control panel has a single-line display that shows operating states, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings. This HCS01 converter is designed to be mounted in a control cabinet. It has a protection rating of IP 20 and does not admit solid extrinsic objects with a diameter of 12mm or more.
