Product Description:
The FCC01.1F-PB2-NNNN is a durable function module master crafted by Rexroth Bosch Indramat for its frequency converters. Specifically, the FCC01.1F-PB2-NNNN is a type of fieldbus module that provides an interface for establishing a serial PROFIBUS DP connection. Based on its datasheet, this function module can achieve a maximum connection rate of 1.2 MBaud during operation. To properly operate, however, the module must be connected to an external 24 VDC supply. To control the frequency converter, the FCC01.1F-PB2-NNNN establishes a serial Profibus DP connection via its Sub-D9 connector. Like other FCC01 function modules, the FCC01.1F-PB2-NNNN must be connected to the X43 plug of the frequency converter.
Since the FCC01.1F-PB2-NNNN employs an external 24V connector for its supply, the module is easily recognized by the master system regardless of the status of the frequency converter. To encode the data in the FCC01.1F-PB2-NNNN, a rotary switch may be used. The user-defined input is immediately registered upon the application of the external power supply. Like other FCC modules, the FCC01.1F-PB2-NNNN also employs a set of status LEDs. The two status LEDs in this function module have designation names of BR and BE, indicating when the BUS is ready or is experiencing errors, respectively.
To establish connection, the FCC01.1F-PB2-NNNN incorporates a 9-pole D-SUB socket. The 9-pole connector assigns pin 3 for B-Daten, pin 4 for RTS, pin 5 for ground, pin 6 for 5V, and pin 8 for A-Daten. Since the FCC01.1F-PB2-NNNN uses a 9-pin connector, it also employs a terminating resistor to avoid signal deflection during communication. Like most Profibus devices, the FCC01.1F-PB2-NNNN allows configuration of the Profibus address and the transmission speed. Depending on the selected transmission speed, the maximum allowable line length may vary.
