Product Description:
The FCC01.1F-PB1-NNNN option module is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for installation on inverters in the FCS Frequency Converters series. It equips each converter with a dedicated PROFIBUS communication port so the drive can be addressed from a PLC or higher-level control network. By adding this card, an engineer can integrate speed or torque references, diagnostic telegrams, and parameter access into an existing fieldbus architecture without altering the power section of the converter.
Data exchange on the module is executed at a maximum rate of 1.5 MBaud, and traffic is transmitted through a Sub-D9 connector that follows the PROFIBUS pin arrangement. The bus lines are Electrically Isolated from the converter electronics to minimize ground-loop currents and controller noise. A single segment can host up to 126 addressable converters, enabling large multi-axis installations on one ring. Compliance with EN 50170; DIN 19245-1/2/3 assures interchangeability with third-party PROFIBUS devices. Version 1 of the design is designated “Line 1” inside the product code and carries two status LEDs—BR (green) for run indication and BE (red) for bus error reporting—so maintenance staff can quickly verify activity or fault states at the panel.
The supply side of the board accepts control power over an insulation-piercing terminal that accommodates wires up to 0.75 mm²; the ferrule length for crimped leads is specified at 12 mm to guarantee full contact depth. Nominal operating power is sourced from a 24 V DC ±25% feed available in most machine cabinets. Four PROFIBUS parameter process data objects, highlighted by the value 4, give the programmer several mapping formats for cyclical and acyclical data. The module’s fieldbus implementation follows the PROFIBUS DP profile, letting users select telegram lengths that balance update speed with bandwidth when multiple converters share the same trunk.
