The DSC Servo Amplifiers series is a family of four-quadrant PWM brushless AC servo amplifiers designed for high-performance speed and position control with Indramat MAC three-phase permanent-magnet servomotors.
The platform is organized into a power supply section and an amplifier section, with the power supply converting 220 VAC three-phase input to an approximately 300 VDC bus, providing +24 VDC and ±15 VDC control voltages, and limiting regenerative bus rise through a bleeder circuit. Amplifier operation is based on nested velocity and current control loops, using tachometer feedback and rotor-position signals to regulate winding current, motor speed, and direction while supporting interfaces such as differential and summing velocity commands, controller enable, current-limit input, tachometer output, motor current output, brake control, and master-slave operation. Internal monitoring covers control voltages, tachometer feedback, controller temperature, bridge-fuse status, overvoltage, DC bus condition, controller enable state, line power, drive-ready state, and commutation signals, with relay outputs and front-panel LEDs used for status and fault indication.
