The DM 4K 9301-D is a single-axis servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DM Servo Drives series. Within an automation cell it translates bus-level motion commands into three-phase output that governs a matched servomotor, supporting coordinated positioning, speed regulation, and torque control in packaging, assembly, and material-handling equipment. This role allows the axis to respond smoothly to changing loads while staying synchronized with the rest of the machine. Motion commands arrive through a CAN Bus setpoint channel, and network services conform to CANopen or CANrho for direct integration with higher-level controls. Position feedback comes from a resolver, whose 12-bit angle resolution supports the accuracy needed for general machine axes.

The internal DC link runs at 670 VDC when the upstream supply is regulated and 715 VDC when supply regulation is absent; these voltages energize the IGBT bridge that switches at 8 kHz. Closed-loop operation permits phase currents up to 4.0 Arms with one current-controller bandwidth or 2.5 Arms with the higher bandwidth setting. This lets the drive match different motor inductance and noise requirements without changing the main operating mode. The current settings support either faster electrical response or quieter operation, depending on the motor and application. The drive has no integrated safety or braking hardware.

The open-loop current ceiling is 6.6 Arms, enabling short torque bursts during transient overload or recovery. Thermal models place worst-case dissipation at 96.5 W, which can be removed with standard cabinet airflow. The module has a width of 50 mm, and the control electronics draw only 0.89 A from the 24 V auxiliary supply, leaving capacity on shared logic rails. Its mass of 6.0 kg supports multi-axis mounting where several drives share the same cabinet structure. With no optional boards fitted, all power, feedback, and bus connectors remain in the standard DM layout.
