The DM 4K 9101-D is a servo drive module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied in the DM Servo Drives series. The module forms the power and control interface between the plant-level motion controller and individual servo motors. By converting CAN bus setpoints into phase-synchronized motor currents while monitoring feedback from attached encoders, it maintains velocity, position, and torque loops in packaging lines, assembly cells, and material-handling axes. Its compact mechanics allow dense cabinet layouts where multiple axes share a common DC link.

At the power stage the drive works from a regulated DC link of 670 VDC, and it can tolerate momentary load peaks by delivering up to 6.6 Arms of overload current. Motion commands reach the unit through CANopen or CANrho, and the same network serves as the setpoint interface, so wiring remains minimal. The housing rises to 430 mm and weighs 6.0 kg, so a single technician can mount the drive on standard DIN rails or backplates. Encoder compatibility extends to STG or MTG sine/cosine formats, with analog inputs accepted up to 50 kHz and digital counts to 800 kHz, enabling accurate interpolation of the single-turn angle that is resolved at 20 Bits. Together these characteristics align the drive with applications that demand dense packaging, moderate axis power, and deterministic fieldbus coordination.
