The DM 30K 1301-D is a servo drive module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the DM Servo Drives series. As an intermediate power stage between a motion controller and a synchronous motor, the unit converts direct-current link energy into controlled three-phase output for positioning, velocity, and torque loops in automated machinery. Its compact mechanical design and low profile allow dense cabinet layouts, while the SERCOS setpoint interface aligns it with CNC and PLC platforms that require deterministic communication.

Electrical performance centers on the non-regulated DC link level of 715 VDC, which stabilizes to 670 VDC when the internal regulator is active. Under 4 kHz switching, the drive can deliver an overload current of 29 Arms, whereas 8 kHz operation limits that value to 22 Arms because of higher switching losses. Continuous conduction losses are capped at 156 W, so cabinet ventilation must remove this heat to avoid derating. A resolver interface provides analog rotor feedback, and its 12-bit resolution matches the drive’s internal current loops. Two temperature-dependent derating slopes of 0.35 A/K at 4 kHz and 0.24 A/K at 8 kHz set the usable current window between 45 °C and 55 °C ambient.

During closed-loop operation, the rated continuous current reaches 14 Arms at 4 kHz. The figure drops to 9.7 Arms at 8 kHz, so the system can trade lower acoustic noise for thermal headroom. The auxiliary control electronics draw 1.03 A from the 24 V supply, and that load must be included in the machine’s low-voltage power budget. Mechanical integration is simplified by the 50 mm module width and a mass of 6.0 kg, which allows the device to slide into standard Indramat cooling racks without additional support. Because the setpoint interface is SERCOS, operating parameters, resolver alignment, and derating limits can be set through the network without local potentiometers.
