The DM 30K 1101-D is a servo drive module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DM Servo Drives series. It converts high-voltage DC into controlled three-phase output and exchanges setpoints with motion controllers, allowing precise torque, speed, or position regulation of connected servomotors in industrial automation lines. By regulating motor output in response to controller commands, the module supports repeatable motion in equipment that depends on accurate axis control.

Thermal and current limits shape the operating range. In open-loop mode at 4 kHz, the drive can deliver up to 29 Arms, while closed-loop operation at the same carrier frequency is limited to 14 Arms. When the switching frequency is increased to 8 kHz, the continuous current drops to 9.7 Arms. A derating slope of 0.35 A/K shows how allowable current decreases as ambient temperature rises above the nominal reference. Under worst-case electronic and magnetic loading, the internal components dissipate a maximum of 156 W. The factory-set switching frequency of 8 kHz balances current ripple and power loss so motors receive smooth excitation without excessive thermal stress.

The DC bus is supplied from a non-regulated link of 715 VDC, which the internal regulator trims to 670 VDC for controlled energy delivery. Control electronics require an auxiliary 24 V input that draws 1.03 A during normal operation. The module occupies only 50 mm of rack width, stands 430 mm high, and weighs 6.0 kg, which helps conserve cabinet space. Position feedback options include STG, MTG, and gear encoders, and these signals are digitized with a mounting resolution of 32 bits and a stage resolution of 20 bits for fine loop accuracy. Command data reach the drive through the SERCOS fiber-optic setpoint interface, linking the motion controller to the power stage.
