The DM 15K 6311-D is a drive inverter made by Rexroth Indramat. These are manufactured especially for an industrial environment where the connection is provided to the high voltage or medium voltage system through a transformer or where there is no direct connection to a public low voltage power supply. Since this is a Class A device, the DM 15K 6311-D is required to use with a warning in trade, commerce, and residential environment. This drive inverter includes supply and axis modules, various functions, different interfaces, and comes with a modular structure. Stand-alone inverters with a combined supply unit are available for small powers, which provides the same interfaces and features. The DM 15K 6311-D comprises a digital closed-loop control for current, speed, and position. Various motors can function with this drive inverter, such as Synchronous motor type SR for sinusoidal current with joined resolver for position and speed control; Synchronous linear motors with accurate length calculating system LC 181, etc.
This drive inverter's set point interface is the SERCOS interface, which stands for SErial Realtime COmmunication System as per EN 41 009. There are multiple merits of the DM 15K 6311-D, such as it has a direct power supply connection, position control in three-phase modules, optimized mechanics for power outputs, and backplane modules for cold module engineering. The rated voltage of this drive inverter is 400 Hz VAC, 50 Hz VAC. The supply voltage is 3x 400 VAC to 460 VAC ± 10%, 48 Hz to 62 Hz. The peak output at switching frequency (4 kHz) is 6.0 kW, and maximum one-time braking energy is 1000 Ws, and maximum continuous braking power is 100 W.
