Product Description:
The DM 030K 1301-D is a servo drive module built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DM Servo Drives series. It regulates power delivered from a shared DC bus to synchronous motors, allowing precise speed and torque control in production machines and material-handling cells. By converting setpoint commands into phase-aligned current, the drive forms the link between higher-level motion controllers and the mechanical axes they control in automated lines.
This module operates from a regulated DC link of 670 VDC and can also accept an unregulated level of up to 715 VDC. These voltage levels affect the required insulation class of connected components and the sizing of protective devices. During continuous operation, the current loop delivers 9.7 Arms. Closed-loop operation supports a short-term current limit of 14 Arms, while open-loop overload conditions can reach 22 Arms before current limiting intervenes. A 24 V logic supply draws 1.03 A, powering the gate drivers and control electronics independently of the DC bus. Heat is removed through forced-air cooling, and the maximum internal power dissipation is 156 W, which must be considered when calculating cabinet ventilation requirements.
Setpoint communication is handled through the SERCOS interface, so velocity and torque commands arrive over fiber-optic rings with deterministic timing. Feedback is accepted through a resolver interface, and the built-in conversion circuitry provides a resolution of 12 bits per revolution for smooth velocity regulation at low speeds. The aluminum housing measures only 50 mm wide and 430 mm high, enabling dense installation within a control cabinet. Despite its slender profile, the chassis weighs 6.0 kg, providing thermal mass that helps moderate temperature changes. The independent logic supply allows the control electronics to remain powered separately from the high-voltage DC link during system operation.
