The Bosch FWA-ECODR3-FLP-05VRS-MS is a firmware for the Rexroth OptiFeed-FS EcoDrive 03 with integrated NC control. EcoDrive 03 is a universal automation solution for open / closed loop control. Features of the system include numerous integrated functions, wide range of applications and high performance at a favorable price point. EcoDrive systems can be used for industrial applications such as metal working, packaging machines, printing machines and handling systems. The FWA-ECODR3-FLP-05VRS-MS firmware can operate in three different modes. Programming of the parameter and of the logic tasks is possible only in Parameter mode. Upon exit from parameter mode the logic program is tested and the parameter interactions are reviewed. Furthermore the power is switched off and all the tasks are halted in Parameter mode. The EcoDrive system goes into Manual mode when it is error free and is not in Automatic or Parameter mode.

The Manual mode of the FWA-ECODR3-FLP-05VRS-MS is used for Jog+ or Jog- functions. Additionally the interruption, manual vector, homing and feed angle monitoring functions can be called up in Manual mode. NC tasks 1 and 2 can be activated in Automatic mode through the start command. All functions excluding manual vector and jog functions are possible in Automatic mode. EcoDrive systems pose a danger to life and bodily harm through electric shock. Unintentional motor movements can also cause bodily harm. Wrong electrical connections can lead to electric shock. Therefore only trained personnel should be allowed to install and operate these control systems. The EcoDrive systems pose a health hazard for people fitted with pacemakers and metal implants. Therefore such people should not be allowed to get into close vicinity of operating control systems. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
