The DKC05.3-004-3-MGP-01VRS model is designed and manufactured by Rexroth Indramat to provide operate the MSM synchronous motor of the EcoDrive Cs drive system. The model should be installed in the switchgear cabinet of at least IP54 protection due to its IP 20 protection category. The DKC05.3 drive controller comes with a multi interface general purpose firmware and a CANopen interface is installed in this unit for sharing data between the motor and the drive controller. Several output devices can be connected via RS232/RS485 serial interface. The DKC05.3 drive controller can operate at AC 200 – 240 V single-phase mains input voltage and three-phase mains input voltage with the tolerance of ±15%. The frequency of the input voltage of 50/60 Hz and the output frequency range of the unit is 0 – 333.3 Hz. The model is designed to operate at the continuous current of 4 A, and the continuous output current of the unit is 1 A. A soft-start resistor is also placed in this model and the PWM frequency of the unit is 8 kHz. Under extreme loading conditions, the controller faces the power dissipation of 24.7 W. The DKC05.3-004-3-MGP-01VRS module provides (RS232/485, Analog) interfaces along with a DKC05.3-LK-CAN01 optional card for CANopen interface. The RS232 and RS485 are used in drive controllers for point-to-point and multi-point connections, respectively. The CANopen is a communication protocol based on the CAN bus while the Analog interface is used for basic signal transmissions.
The model DKC05.3-004-3-MGP-01VRS is equipped with an internal braking resistor that dissipates the continuous energy of 17 W. The dc-bus voltage of 300 VDC is required to operate the internal circuit of the controller. A standard firmware is installed in this unit. During installation, the minimum prescribed clearance must be maintained at the sides of the DKC05.3 controller. The permissible temperature range for this drive controller is 0 to +40 degree Celsius.
