Product Description:
The DKC02.3-200-7-FW/S10 drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DKC Drive Controllers series. It functions as an inverter stage that governs servo motor position, speed, and torque in industrial automation cells such as assembly lines, packaging machinery, and gantry axes. The unit rectifies the incoming AC supply, maintains a regulated intermediate circuit, and delivers pulse-width-modulated power to the motor so that motion commands from the PLC are executed with high dynamic accuracy.
Its intermediate circuit is maintained at a DC-bus nominal voltage of 700 V, giving the power section sufficient headroom for rapid current changes during acceleration and deceleration. The controller can supply a continuous output of 200 A, which is the maximum RMS phase current available to the connected servo under rated operating conditions. Upstream protection devices should be sized for a line demand that can reach 38 A when the drive is fully loaded. Internally, switching and conduction losses amount to a power dissipation of 960 W at that continuous current, so cabinet ventilation must remove roughly one kilowatt of heat. The housing has a mass of 19.5 kg, which should be considered when selecting mounting rails, brackets, or lifting support during installation.
The controller uses design code 3 and interface option 02, which provide a SERCOS communication channel and match the third mechanical revision of the housing. Classified as an EcoDrive, the unit is intended for servo applications that require controlled braking and stable power conversion. Continuous operation is permitted up to an ambient temperature of 45 °C. Above this temperature, derating or additional cooling is required to keep the IGBT junctions within safe operating limits and maintain long-term reliability.
