The Indramat DDS drive controllers are designed with high versatility. Like other products by Indramat, they are also innovative and cost-effective. Their modular design allows them to be combined with AC servo motors to create the finest rapid-response drives. The applications of the DDS drive controllers include machine tools, handling machines, and printing and packaging machines.

Indramat’s DDS03.1-W050-RA02-01 is a drive controller in the DDS series. It is a Version-1 model that can be connected to only Indramat supply units with a controlled DC 24V voltage. It also features an ANALOG interface as its communication module, while its software modules enable the easy transfer of motor data to a new unit during a replacement. Because of its heat technology cooling system, the drive controller must be mounted in a sizable control cabinet with an IP 10 protection rating. This means that the cabinet must be touch-proof and impenetrable to objects with a 50mm diameter or more.

By design, the DDS03.1-W050-RA02-01 is compatible with only AC motors with a Resolver Feedback encoder. To connect to these motors, the Indramat motor power cable is the ideal connection medium. It is 75m long and features a shielded pair of wires for motor temperature monitoring to prevent damage by thermal overloading. However, a customized connection cable can also be made according to the instructions in the DDS product manual. The ambient operating conditions of this drive controller include a maximum relative humidity of 95% and maximum air humidity of 25g/dm³.  It also requires a space with a temperature range of -30°C to +85°C when undergoing transportation. This DDS device is IP 20-rated and resistant to dust penetration.
