The DDS03.1-W030-RC01-01 is a Bosch Rexroth DDS series drive controller. Its rated output current is 30 Amps. The output rating is valid for 0 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature and 0 to 1000 meters elevation. The controller output derates in a linear manner between 45 and 55 degrees Celsius. Bosch advises against controller use at temperatures that exceed 55 degrees Celsius. The output of the DDS03.1-W030-RC01-01 also derates, in a non-linear manner, between 1000 and 5000 meters. Bosch advises against controller use at altitudes that exceed 5000 meters. The ambient temperature range recommended for controller storage and transport is -30 to 85 degrees Celsius. Ingress protection class of the controller is IP20. Devices with this protection class require cabinet mounting for improved protection against dust and moisture. Weight of the controller is 5.5 kilograms.

Height of the controller is 355 millimeters, its width is 70 millimeters and its depth is 325 millimeters. Bosch has designed the controller with heat technology i.e. the heat dissipation takes place inside the cabinet. The controller mounts in the vertical orientation. The minimum spacing requirements for proper heat dissipation are 80 millimeters on the top/bottom and 40 millimeters on the front. Each DDS controller features a command communication module. The command module on the DDS03.1-W030-RC01-01 supports Interbus-S. The controller supports resolver-based feedback. Customers can also order digital servo feedback for DDS controllers. The controller firmware and operating parameters are stored on a software module. Three slots on the DDS03.1-W030-RC01-01 are available for optional plug in modules.
