The Bosch DDS02.1-W200-DS37-00 is an AC drive controller. Multiple DDS drives can be combined with one power supply unit to form a compact drive package. DDS controllers can be used with motors from the MDD, MKD, LAR and LAF series. Typical applications of drives that include DDS controllers are printing and packaging machines, handling machines and robotics. A complete drive controller is comprised of the following components: basic unit, firmware, software module, command module and optional modules. The basic unit is a hardware chassis with slots for modules and physical interfaces for communication ports and I/Os. The total number of slots for modules on the basic unit are five. Different functions require different software modules. The software module contains both firmware and drive parameters. The software module needed depends on the selected hardware configuration and the functions of the drive.

The drive firmware is stored on a software module that installs on Slot U5 of the basic unit. The SERCOS command communication module on the DDS02.1-W200-DS37-00 installs on slot U1.  Slot U2 to U4 on the basic unit are available for any optional modules that may be required. The rated current output of the DDS02.1-W200-DS37-00 controller is 200 Amps. Integrated digital servo feedback is supported and enables use with compatible Bosch servo motors.  The controller implements heat technology. Units implementing heat technology dissipate heat within the control cabinet. Consequentially large control cabinets and air conditioning may be needed. This setup requires the least amount of mounting and installation effort. The DDS02.1-W200-DS37-00 mounts vertically.
