The DDS drive controllers embody these qualities with features that distinguish them in the international drive market. They have a modular design that allows them to be adapted to various functions, including serving as rapid-response drives with the LAR and LAF linear inductance motors and the MDD and MKD synchronous motors.

The DDS02.1-W100-RS53-02-FW is one of the drive controllers in the Bosch Rexroth DDS series. This model is equipped with a heat technology mechanism as its cooling method, where the cooling airflow for heat dissipation is within the control cabinet housing the drive controller. As a result, the drive controller must be mounted in a large control cabinet with air conditioning, but it ensures a stress-free mounting and installation. The control cabinet houses the drive controller and its supply unit and has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 10. This indicates that it protects both components from the entry of solid extrinsic objects larger than 50mm in diameter.

The supported motor feedback system for the motors that can be connected to the DDS02.1-W100-RS53-02-FW is Resolver feedback. With its SERCOS communications module,  inputs that can be used to evaluate reference switches, sensor inputs, and travel range limit switches are provided. The SERCOS plugin module also works with a fiber optic cable to operate the digital drive. A rated current of 100A is required to operate this drive controller model and a DC bus voltage of 300V with a ±15% tolerance. Also, during operation, the ambient temperature should not exceed 45^oC.
