The DDS02.1-W100-DL04-01-FW is a DDS series digital drive. It is manufactured by Bosch for industrial motor control applications. The drive is compatible with a wide range of linear and synchronous motors. The DDS02.1-W100-DL04-01-FW supports digital servo feedback which allows it to control the motor parameters including torque, speed and position. Rated output of the DDS02.1-W100-DL04-01-FW is 100 Amps. The drive output current derates or falls below rated value if the ambient conditions – temperature, altitude, humidity – do not comply with those that are specified by Bosch in the product documentation. The maximum ambient temperature and altitude at which the DDS02.1-W100-DL04-01-FW can be operated without output derating are 45 degrees Celsius and 1000 meters. The maximum ambient temperature and altitude at which the DDS02.1-W100-DL04-01-FW can be operated with output derating are 55 degrees Celsius and 5000 meters.

Operation of the DDS02.1-W100-DL04-01-FW at temperatures that exceed 55 degrees Celsius and at altitudes that exceed 5000 meters is not permitted by Bosch. The derating at 55 degrees Celsius, provided that the altitude is within specified values, is 20%. The derating at 5000 meters altitude, provided that the temperature is within specified values, is 35%. If both the ambient temperature and altitude exceed specified values then the load factors multiply i.e. the derating will be greater than what is documented in the product documentation. The DDS02.1-W100-DL04-01-FW cools via natural convection. As only air from inside the cabinet is used, Bosch recommends using large cabinets and even air conditioning to ensure that the specified limits for ambient temperature are not exceeded. The communication module on the DDS02.1-W100-DL04-01-FW drive supports single-axis position control. Weight of this DDS series drive is 7.5 kilograms.
