The Bosch DDS02.1-W100-DL03-00 is a drive with single-axis positioning module. This module expands the capabilities of the drive controller to create a standalone positioning unit. This module can be programmed with up to 3000 program blocks. Each program block contains the instructions for one complete motion sequence, outputs to be set or inputs to be monitored. DDS series drives such as the DDS02.1-W100-DL03-00 can also be ordered with Analog and SERCOS modules. The servo feedback on the DDS02.1-W100-DL03-00 allows it to control motor speed, position and torque. The drive can be used with various linear and synchronous motors. The DDS series drives are designed for convection cooling. The IP20 rated enclosure of the drive is designed for 0 to 45 degrees Celsius ambient temperature, and 0 to 1000 meters altitude. The temperature range recommended for drive storage is -30 to 85 degrees Celsius.

During operation the maximum permitted relative humidity for the DDS02.1-W100-DL03-00 is 95% and the maximum permitted absolute humidity is 25 g/m³. The rated output of the DDS02.1-W100-DL03-00 is 100 Amps. The drive can be operated with derated output at ambient temperatures of up to 55 degrees Celsius and altitudes of up to 5000 meters. If both the temperature and altitude exceed specified limits simultaneously, then the respective load factors for both have to be multiplied. If only the temperature exceeds specified limits then the output derating reaches 20% at 55 degrees Celsius. If only the altitude exceeds specified limits then the derating reaches 35% at 5000 meters altitude. The firmware for the DDS02.1-W100-DL03-00 has to be ordered separately.
