One thing that Bosch Rexroth is prominent for in the drive market is the design and manufacture of futuristic drive products which can be used for various industrial purposes. The drive controllers that make up this series are designed with a modular concept that makes them flexible and easy to combine with digital AC servo motors. The DDS02.1-W100-DA03-01-FW is one of the drive controllers in Bosch Rexroth’s DDS02.1 series. It is a version 1 model equipped with a heat technology cooling mechanism. In this cooling method, heat generated within the system is transferred within the control cabinet housing the drive controller. The control cabinet here is large but requires minimal installation efforts. It also protects the device from damage due to the entry of solid extrinsic objects as it does not admit objects with a larger diameter than 50mm. Hence, it has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 10 according to the DIN 40 050 standards.

The plugin module for communication on the DDS02.1-W100-DA03-01-FW has an ANALOG interface that contains control inputs and signal outputs. The drive controller utilizes a DC bus voltage of 300V with a +/- 15% allowance for its operation. Its maximum peak current and continuous current values are 100A and 40A, respectively. Some of the drive controller applications are seen in machine tools, printing and packaging machinery, textiles, robotics, and handling machines.
