The Rexroth DDS02.1-W050-DA06-01-FW is a drive controller - basic unit. A configured drive controller is made up of both hardware and firmware. The firmware fixes the functions of the drive controller. Drive controllers are used for controlling the motor operations. Typical uses are printing and packaging machinery, robotics, handling and automation, etc. The drive controller and its supply unit are designed for mounting into a control cabinet or a closed housing and meet the demands of protection category IP10, as per DIN 40 050. The unit is protected against penetration by a solid extrinsic object with a diameter exceeding 50 mm. The drive controller is not protected against penetration by water, intentional accessing by a hand, but it will keep larger body surfaces out. Its installation and that of accessories should be done following the manufacturer’s instructions. if heat-exchanging units are not installed and operated properly, then the drive components inside the control cabinet could be damaged by moisture and condensation.

The mode of cooling for the DDS02.1-W050-DA02-01-FW is using air in the control cabinet. As a result of this, the control cabinet is large to allow for hair circulation and air conditioning may be needed to keep the ambient temperature low. It has a current rating of 50 Amperes and a Digital Servo Feedback (DSF). It has an ANALOG communication module interface. The firmware for the drive controller is ordered as a sperate subitem. It has a power section with a DC bus voltage between 255 – 345 Volts. The current consumption for the +24V drive controller is about 1100 milliamperes.  The DDS02.1-W050-DA06-01-FW should be stored at temperatures between 30 and 85 degrees Celsius and operated between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius.
