DDS02.1-W050-DA01 is a Bosch Rexroth drive controller. It is part of the DDS series. DDS controllers have a modular design. The basic unit has slots for a software module, a communication module and multiple plug in modules. The software modules houses the firmware and drive configuration. Contents of this module can be copied to other modules for controllers with similar configuration. This helps to speed up system commissioning for multiple controllers at the same time. In addition, the software module can be removed from a faulty or malfunctioning drive and installed on a replacement unit to reduce system downtime. The basic unit of the DDS02.1-W050-DA01 has three slots for plug in modules. It supports digital servo feedback and is equipped with an analog communication module. Rated current output of the unit is 50 Amps. The controller runs on regulated 24 Volts DC input. Protection rating of the controller IP20. This means it can be used indoors. For outdoor use, the controller must be mounted inside a suitable cabinet. The recommended ambient temperature range is 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. The recommended altitude is 0 to 1000 meters. Controller use outside these limits leads to output derating and should be avoided. The maximum ambient temperature with derated data is 55 degrees Celsius. The maximum elevation with derated data is 5000 meters. The maximum permitted relative humidity is 95% and the maximum permissible absolute humidity is 25 grams per cubic meter. A barcode sticker attached to the controller allows identification of the unit specifications. Operators and staff should refer to this sticker at the time of shipment delivery. Only trained and qualified personnel should be allowed to install and operate the controller.
