The DDS02.1-W015-DS01-00-FW is a sophisticated drive controller designed by Rexroth Indramat to carry out the accurate control of electrical motors used in the industrial servo system. This controller is intended to be used in conjunction with Indramat motor series including the MDD, MKD, and the LAR motors. When used with any of these compatible motor, the controller become a rapid response automatization system that is well suited for use in machine tools, textile, printing, and packaging machinery. The handling of this industrial controller is very easy, however handling should still be carried out by well trained personnel according to the instructions in the documentation delivered with the controller. The controller also features a modular concept that makes it possible to flexibly combine several drives to from one compact package that uses one supply unit. The DDS02.1-W015-DS01-00-FW controller is delivered as a fully configured unit that is adapted to a specific industrial application, the fully configured unit is made of a basic unit, plug-in modules, software modules and a firmware. The plug-in modules used for the configuration of the controller are inserted into special slots numbered from U1 to U5 on the controller basic unit. The rated input current of this industrial control unit is about 15 amperes, while the DC bus voltage is about 300 volts. Also, the DDS02.1-W015-DS01-00-FW controller is compatible with the digital servo motor feedback. The communications module present in the DDS02.1-W015-DS01-00-FW controller is the SERCOS interface. During operation, this controller does not generate an exceedingly high amount of heat, however it still features an internal air blower which helps to prevent the excess build-up of heat in the housing. Also the maximum permissible installation height for this controller is 1000 meters above sea level.
