Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the DDS02.1-K050-D drive controller which is intended to be used in conjunction with MDD, MKD, and LAR AC motors. The combination is well-suited for applications in industrial robotics, textile, packaging, and food processing machines. Thanks to its modular design, it can be used with main and servo drives forming a compact drive unit using one supply unit. It features digital servo feedback, 50A rated current, and a cooling system of cold technology. The drive controller is designed for mounting in a control cabinet that meets the IP 10 protection category.

The DDS02.1-K050-D is only protected against extrinsic objects of more than 50mm but is susceptible to liquids and access through hands. When mounted with other controllers, the controller with highest output should be mounted closer to the supply unit. It should be stored in a dry, shock, and dust-free environment. Use shock-damping supports when transporting it. The ambient conditions include an operating and storage/transportation temperature of 0 to 45 and -30 to 85 degrees respectively. The maximum installation elevation is 1000 meters above sea level and maximum permissible relative humidity is 95%. The air should be condensation free since the water collects around the components.

The DDS02.1-K050-D comes with a software module that houses the firmware and the drive parameters. The firmware is ordered separately since it undergoes constant upgrades. You can buy an upgraded version with similar functionalities for better performance. The software module can be moved from one unit to another without affecting the drive parameters. Coming with cold cooling technology, the DDS02.1-K050-D can be mounted in a small housing saving on factory space. Only qualified electricians should operate this drive controller.
