The DDC01.2-N100A-DS47-00-FW is a smart drive controller designed for a variety of automation tasks ranging from speed control to accurate rotor positioning. The position control of a motor’s rotor is possible over a wide range of speeds. This drive control unit can withstand continuous exposure to water jets, the incursion of dust, debris, non-corrosive materials, and emulsions because of its outer enclosure protection of the IP 65 standard. This presents another advantage as the drive controller can now be installed directly at the forward feed units. There is no requirement for length cabling and wiring that is often susceptible to interference effects. This model can be programmed with an IDA decade switch, a higher ranking PC, a CTA programming keypad, and a PLC system.

The DDC01.2-N100A-DS47-00-FW can be significantly expanded and be made to adapt to different roles because of its modular configuration that permits the installation of external plug-in modules that are designed for specific applications. An inter bus S data highway can be integrated with this system using the DBS 2.2 plug-in card. If the DEA 4.1 auxiliary plug-in card is installed, the device is able to perform additional functions like displaying fault messages, signaling of operating modes, and E-stop input. The device can be flexibly used with different programming languages. The drive controller is compatible with up to 3000 programming modules. These programming blocks include position entries, input series, speed entries, output markers for motion sequences, etc. This drive controller’s firmware is installed in a software module that also stores the critical drive parameters.
