Its role in an industrial cell is to translate low-level control commands into precise torque and speed, allowing the higher-level controller to coordinate axes without mechanical relays or variable transformers.
This drive connects to the plant mains through a three-phase input of 3 × 230 VAC and can deliver a continuous output of 150 A to the motor terminals. Command wiring uses a logic supply of 24 VDC, and the interface accepts up to 150 mA on that line while the analog command channel sources or sinks signals within a range of ±10 V. The corresponding analog load is limited to 4 mA, while the separate ±15 V monitoring rails each permit 100 mA. The 24 V logic rail for external sensors is also capped at 100 mA. Pulse-enable sequencing has a 100 ms on-time, ensuring that the power bridge is gated only after upstream safety interlocks are satisfied. The overvoltage circuit activates when the DC-bus voltage reaches 475 V, while a separate Ud contact changes state once the link reaches 200 V so external bleeder resistors can engage early. Forced exhaust is unnecessary because cooling relies on filtered air drawn across the heat sink. Resolver or encoder signals can travel up to 75 m through a shielded feedback cable without losing position fidelity. The internal brake driver releases the holding brake at 24 VDC. Controlled stopping is supported by a maximum brake time of 0.4 s, coordinated with the 100 ms pulse window.
