The DDC1.1-K150A-D is a digital intelligent servo drive manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It converts fixed mains power into regulated output current for synchronous motors. This conversion enables precise velocity and position control in automated machinery such as gantry axes, packaging lines, and material-handling stations. Digital servo feedback provides the motion controller with the information needed to regulate connected axes during changing loads and repeated movement cycles.
The power section accepts a three-phase AC supply and can deliver up to 150 A of rated motor current. Internal logic and I/O use a control circuit that requires 24 V DC at 150 mA. Convection channels support forced-air cooling, and the housing must be mounted with an unobstructed air outlet clearance of 300 mm. The enclosure has an IP65 protection rating, making it dust-tight and resistant to water jets. This enclosure supports installation in areas exposed to airborne particles or washdown procedures without requiring a separate protective cabinet. Protective monitoring disables the output during excessive bus voltage, while airflow detection helps prevent thermal stress on the internal power electronics.
An encoder connection can extend up to 75 m without repeaters, allowing feedback transducers to be mounted remotely from the drive. The reference channel supplies analog speed or torque commands across a range of ±10 V into loads drawing up to 4 mA. The Bb relay contact handles 24 V DC at 1 A for fault signaling, while the Ud relay contact handles 250 V AC at 1 A for the mains interlock. The bleeder warning relay also supports 250 V AC at 1 A. Overvoltage shutdown occurs when the bus reaches 475 V, protecting the motor windings and connected power components. After the drive is powered down, the bus discharge threshold is 200 V, providing a clear reference for safe access. An internal blower draws cooling air through the chassis, and loss of airflow causes the drive to stop output before excessive heat can damage its IGBTs.
