The DDC1.1-K100A-DG01-00 is an intelligent servo drive manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It converts plant mains power into regulated motor power while executing position, speed, and torque commands for machine tools, handling axes, and packaging stations. A sealed enclosure and onboard microprocessor allow the unit to control motion in harsh industrial environments without requiring an additional cabinet.
The drive draws power from a three-phase AC supply and delivers a continuous line current of 100 A, making it suitable for medium-to-high-inertia motors in gantry and press axes. Internal monitoring triggers an overvoltage fault when the DC bus reaches 475 V. It disconnects the power stage if the voltage falls to the 200 V undervoltage threshold, helping prevent uncontrolled regeneration or field loss. The cast-aluminum enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP65, so airborne oil mist and water jets do not reach the electronics. A blower connected at X3 moves cooling air across the heat sink, allowing the output devices to remain within safe operating limits during sustained demand. Command data exchange with CNC or PLC hardware uses the RS-232 port at X2, while digital servo feedback from the motor closes the velocity and position control loops.
Machine-specific functions are loaded through 5 plug-in card positions, with the command module installed in slot U1 and the programming module installed in slot U5. These card bays support indexing, interpolation, and communication functions without requiring changes to the power-stage wiring. Internal rails can be checked through the logic test line at +24 V, the positive analog reference at +15 V, and the complementary analog reference at -15 V. These test points support checks of the internal logic and connected sensors before the axis is energized.
