The DDC01.2-N200C-DS50-00-FW is a digital intelligent servo drive built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It controls synchronous or asynchronous servomotors in industrial automation, adjusting torque and speed while receiving deterministic telegrams through its SERCOS fiber-optic interface. By combining power electronics, signal processing, and communication functions in one enclosure, the unit supports coordinated axis control on packaging lines, material-handling stations, and similar controller-driven machinery. This integrated layout helps keep wiring compact and allows the drive to respond quickly to changing motion commands.
During continuous duty, the drive can furnish up to 200 A of phase current, although its thermal limits restrict steady operation to 45 A. That electrical output corresponds to a constant mechanical load of 7.5 kW, making the unit suitable for medium-inertia axes that need stable torque delivery over long cycles. The supply network must provide 22.5 kVA, so upstream feeders and protective devices must be sized for that apparent power. An enclosure rated IP65 protects internal boards from airborne dust and washdown fluids, allowing installation outside a control cabinet in suitable machine layouts. Standard air cooling removes waste heat from the 22 kg housing, and a reduced-noise switching pattern helps limit acoustic output when the connected motor operates near its nominal current.
For transient moves, the power stage can deliver mechanical peaks of 33 kW. Regenerative energy is absorbed by an internal bleeder network that can dissipate 40 kW momentarily and 0.25 kW continuously, helping control DC-bus voltage during rapid deceleration. Total conversion losses are limited to 500 W, which simplifies thermal planning where space around the unit is restricted. The design also limits single-event regenerated energy to 20 kWs and can operate at elevations up to 1000 m with relative humidity up to 95% while digital servo feedback is maintained.
