It serves as the power and control interface between a motion controller and a compatible Indramat motor, converting numeric setpoints into regulated three-phase power for positioning, speed control, and torque control in automated equipment. A fiber-optic SERCOS link carries commands and status data so axis timing remains consistent during coordinated motion.
