Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat's DDC01.2-N200A-DS64-01-FW is a digital intelligent servo drive in the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It serves as the power and control stage between an automation controller and a synchronous servo motor, using the built-in SERCOS interface command module for real-time communication. Digital servo feedback from the motor closes the control loops, and standard cooling removes internal heat while the drive regulates motion on factory machinery. This arrangement allows the unit to translate controller commands into regulated motor current for precise speed and position control on automated equipment.
The inverter section can draw up to 22.5 kVA from the supply and delivers a rated phase current of 200 A, while a separate short-term channel allows 90 A for brief overloads. Current is switched at a carrier frequency of 4 kHz, so torque changes follow control commands with minimal ripple. Excess kinetic energy is dissipated through a bleeder circuit that absorbs 0.25 kW continuously and up to 40 kW in short pulses during rapid deceleration. This helps manage braking energy during aggressive speed changes on servo axes. Internal losses are limited to 500 W, and acoustic output is standard for the 100 A to 200 A power band. PWM timing, current ratings, and the SERCOS command structure are tied to function code version 01, drive series 1, and hardware version 2.
The unit can return as much as 20 kWs to the DC link before the bleeder becomes active, and it operates at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C. An enclosure rated IP 65 shields the electronics from dust and water jets, allowing mounting close to the machine without a separate cabinet. The sealed housing is suitable for placement on machine frames where airborne contamination or washdown spray may be present. Total mass is 22 kg, which supports wall mounting or installation close to the motor. Full-duty operation is intended below 1000 m elevation and at relative humidity up to 95%.
