The DDC01.2-N200A-DS24-04-FW is a digital intelligent servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It combines embedded control logic with a high-current inverter stage to operate brushless servo motors in packaging, printing, and material-handling equipment. By converting fixed mains power into a controlled output, the drive supports closed-loop motion for axes that require accurate speed and position regulation. It acts as the power and control stage between the supply and the connected servo motor, so commanded motion profiles can be followed with stable torque delivery. This makes it suitable for automated systems that run repeated acceleration, deceleration, and positioning cycles.
A SERCOS command module provides deterministic fiber-optic communication with higher-level motion controllers. This arrangement allows cyclic command exchange while the drive processes motor control functions locally. The unit accepts a three-phase input of 3 x 230 V AC at 50/60 Hz and can supply up to 200 A of motor current. A carrier frequency of 4 kHz controls the pulse-width-modulated output, and the drive draws 22.5 kVA under full load while dissipating 500 W as internal power loss. Ambient air moves through the standard cooling channels across the heat-sink fins, which helps remove internal heat during continuous operation. Noise emission is in the standard range for 100 A to 200 A units, motor position is returned through digital servo feedback, and the drive is Series 1 with Version 2.
During deceleration, the internal bleeder network absorbs regenerated energy from the motor. It handles a continuous load of 0.25 kW and tolerates surges up to 40 kW, while the storage capacitors can accept as much as 20 kWs before external dumping is required. The housing is sealed to IP65, which allows direct installation on machinery without a separate cabinet. The sealed enclosure also helps protect internal components from dust and water spray in machine-mounted applications. Operation is permitted at elevations up to 1000 m, and the standard cooling path remains effective within that altitude range.
