The DDC01.2-N150A-DS03-02-FW is a digital intelligent servo drive from Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. Mounted in control cabinets or directly on machinery, the unit receives axis commands through a SERCOS fiber-optic ring, converts them to pulse-width-modulated power, and regulates output to a matched permanent-magnet motor. In automated packaging lines, pick-and-place cells, and CNC stages, it closes the torque, velocity, and position loops so the drive train follows the programmed motion profile with minimal latency.

Internally, the drive uses cooling airflow across its heat sink to maintain rated performance. During continuous operation, the power stage delivers 45 A of output current and supports 7.5 kW of motor power, while excess DC-bus energy is dissipated by a bleeder resistor rated at 0.25 kW. Control signals are switched with a carrier of 4 kHz, giving fine current resolution without excessive switching loss. The current monitoring circuitry is aligned to a 150 A rated value, digital servo feedback from the motor encoder is sampled through the integrated SERCOS command module, and the unit uses Function Code 03 as a Series 1, Version 2 drive. Its short-time current limits and noise class match the standard 100 A to 200 A range.

For short bursts, the bleeder channel tolerates 40 kW for braking peaks, and the power transistors can pass a 200 A surge or 90 A for 100 s at 50% duty without thermal trip. When regeneration exceeds internal capacity, up to 20 kWs of energy is returned to the supply, and the mains must furnish 22.5 kVA at full load. Despite this demand, the housing meets the IP65 ingress standard, allowing mounting on moving axes. Operation is specified to 55 °C ambient or 1000 m altitude before derating, and the chassis weight of 22 kg must be considered when selecting brackets and damping elements.
