The DDC01.2-N100A-DS45-01-FW is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It uses a SERCOS Interface command module for real-time network control and digital servo feedback to close the position and velocity loops of connected synchronous motors. In automated assembly lines and conveyor systems, the drive converts three-phase mains power into regulated output for dynamic positioning while managing braking energy through an internal bleeder circuit. Because command data and motor feedback are processed inside the drive, the axis can maintain stable response during frequent load changes.

Under continuous duty, the unit delivers 6 kW of output power and dissipates 0.25 kW through its bleeder resistor. During rapid deceleration, that bleeder stage can withstand up to 20 kW. The current regulator is rated for 100 A RMS and requires a supply of 18 kVA, which helps size the upstream transformer and cabling. Air cooling moves ambient air across the heat sink, while the IGBT bridge switches at 4 kHz PWM so acoustic and magnetic ripple stay within the standard noise class for 100 A to 200 A units. Continuous operation generates 500 W of internal power loss that must be released to the surrounding installation space.

The drive can operate at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C and at installation altitudes up to 1000 m before derating is required. The die-cast housing is sealed to IP65, allowing installation in dusty or splash-prone areas, and the complete drive weighs 22 kg. Its sealed housing allows placement near processing equipment where airborne dust or occasional liquid spray may be present. The unit is series 1 and version 2, and it uses function code version 01. The bleeder network can absorb up to 10 kWs of regenerated energy before external braking is required to limit DC-bus voltage.
