Product Description:
The DDC01.2-N050C-RL01-01-FW is a digital intelligent servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It performs single-axis positioning by combining an RL01 command module with resolver feedback, making it suitable for coordinated motion on individual machine axes. The unit regulates torque, speed, and position for automated assembly lines, packaging stations, and material-handling systems. This arrangement helps the drive respond quickly to load changes during indexing and other stop-and-go motion.
The drive supplies 50 A and requires 6 kVA of input power, so the electrical supply must support that load. Its IGBT bridge switches at 8 kHz, and thermal dissipation is limited to 500 W during operation. A sealed IP65 housing and standard cooling protect internal components while ambient temperature remains below 55 °C. The unit can operate at elevations up to 1000 m without derating, and resolver feedback, separate feedback lines, and motor power cables may each run up to 75 m. The RL01 module handles position commands, while function code 01 and version 01 identify the control configuration, and the drive is in series 1 and version 2.
Energy produced during braking is handled by a 0.25 kW continuous bleeder circuit that can dissipate surges up to 10 kW for short intervals, which helps prevent DC-link overvoltage during deceleration. The internal capacitors can absorb 5 kWs of regenerated energy before the bleeder activates, allowing frequent braking cycles in pick-and-place and indexing applications. With a shipping mass of 21 kg, the drive can be mounted directly on machine frames without additional support hardware. Its braking capacity is useful where repeated starts and stops return energy to the DC bus in short bursts.
