Product Description:
The DDC01.2-N050C-RA02-02-FW servo drive is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It converts control signals into regulated three-phase output for brushless motors, enabling precise motion control in assembly stations, gantry axes, and packaging equipment. The unit uses a command module with an analog interface, allowing ±10 V speed or torque commands to be processed by the internal regulator. This arrangement supports compatibility with motion systems that use conventional analog reference signals.
During operation, the drive delivers a rated output current of 50 A, letting it energize medium-frame servomotors without saturating the power stage. Current is switched at a pulse-width modulation frequency of 8 kHz, and this high carrier rate reduces torque ripple and acoustic noise. The power section is dimensioned for a maximum load of 6 kVA, which marks the upper limit of continuous motor output the drive can support. Excess DC-bus energy is dissipated through an internal bleeder resistor that handles 0.25 kW continuously and up to 10 kW during short deceleration events. Cooling draws ambient air across the heat sink, and overall conversion losses are 500 W under nominal conditions.
The aluminum housing carries a protection rating of IP65, allowing installation directly on machinery where dust or splashing water may be present. Reliable operation is maintained up to 1000 m above sea level, and derating is required above that altitude. Kinetic energy returned from an overhauling load can be absorbed by the DC link up to 5 kWs before the bleeder activates. Position and speed are closed-loop because the drive is engineered for resolver feedback, which provides rotor position information for regulation and commutation. The unit uses function code 02 and is Series 1, Version 2. Acoustic output is rated as standard reduced noise for this drive class.
