Product Description:
The DDC01.2-N050C-DS50-00-FW is a digital intelligent servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It is Series 1, Version 2, and it converts three-phase mains energy into regulated motor power while the integrated digital servo feedback channel closes the position loop for precise axis control in automated cells. The drive is used in machining, packaging, and material-handling stations where coordinated motion is required. Because the position loop is closed inside the drive, command response remains consistent during indexing, feed motion, and synchronized multi-axis operation.
Control data enter the unit through the SERCOS interface, giving deterministic fiber-optic communication with PLCs and other drives. The fiber-optic link supports cyclic motion commands and fast status updates between the drive and the higher-level controller. During operation, it can supply a rated current of 50 A to the motor, modulated at a carrier frequency of 8 kHz to minimize torque ripple. Energy returned from decelerating loads is dissipated by an internal resistor that handles 0.25 kW of continuous bleeder power, while a capacitor bank stores up to 5 kWs of maximum regenerated energy before discharge. The converter sustains a 4 kW continuous mechanical load, allows short bursts during changing duty, and has steady internal losses of 500 W.
The power stage draws up to 6 kVA from the supply when the axis accelerates toward its mechanical peak load of 8.5 kW. A short-term 8 kW rating bridges intermediate motions, and a peak bleeder capacity of 10 kW protects the DC link against overvoltage events. Cooling uses ambient air, and the sealed construction achieves IP65 so the housing can be mounted directly on the machine frame. This layout supports direct machine mounting without a separate protective enclosure. Operation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level without derating, and the noise emission is standard.
