Product Description:
The DDC01.2-N050C-DS24-04-FW is a digital intelligent servo drive manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It supplies controlled three-phase power to synchronous servomotors and uses a SERCOS interface command module for deterministic fiber-optic communication with higher-level controllers. By converting position commands into regulated current and voltage, the unit closes the motion loop in packaging, handling, and assembly equipment that requires precise axis coordination. Because communication and power conversion are integrated in one housing, the drive can be mounted close to the motor and reduce the need for a separate cabinet-mounted power stage.
The drive draws a maximum of 6 kVA from the mains and dissipates 500 W of internal power loss while operating with standard cooling. Its PWM inverter switches at 8 kHz, supporting smooth torque production and lower acoustic noise during normal operation. The inverter can supply up to 50 A of output current, and regenerated energy is routed to an internal bleeder that continuously absorbs 0.25 kW. Continuous mechanical output is 4 kW, and short-term demand can rise to 8 kW when the application calls for brief overload capability. This power profile supports steady-state servo operation while leaving headroom for brief load changes during indexing, clamping, or transfer motions.
During rapid deceleration or fault conditions, the bleeder can tolerate a peak of 10 kW, and the drive can deliver a mechanical peak load of 8.5 kW for brief accelerations. Digital servo feedback from the connected motor returns incremental position data to the controller for closed-loop regulation, and this feedback path lets the control system compare commanded and actual motion throughout acceleration and braking. The housing is rated IP65 against dust and low-pressure water jets, and the complete unit weighs 21 kg. Installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level, and internal identifiers place the model in Series 1, Version 2.
