Product Description:
The DDC01.2-K150A-DS03-01 is a digital intelligent servo drive engineered by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It serves as the power and control stage for synchronous servomotors in automated machinery, translating position commands into regulated torque and speed. By placing drive electronics close to the motion axis, it helps reduce cabinet wiring complexity and supports fast motion sequences in packaging, handling, and machining systems. Its role in the drive system is to supply controlled motor current while maintaining the response needed for coordinated industrial motion.
This model delivers a continuous output of 150 A, giving the connected motor a wide dynamic range for acceleration and braking. The drive is fed from a three-phase AC mains supply, and heat is removed through natural convection air cooling, so a 300 mm air-outlet clearance is required above the heatsink. Its enclosure has an IP65 rating, allowing direct mounting on machinery without an additional cabinet. Communication with the automation controller passes through a SERCOS interface command module located in one of the five plug-in slots. The unit can operate at ambient temperatures up to +55 °C, so derating is unnecessary in most factory environments.
The drive can be installed at elevations up to 1000 m and in atmospheres with relative humidity up to 95% or absolute humidity up to 25 g/m³. Encoder signals are accepted through digital servo feedback cables up to 75 m long, which supports remote-axis layouts and flexible machine placement. A service port using RS-232 (X2) supports backup and diagnostic access. Direct-to-feed-unit mounting shortens motor leads and keeps noise emission within the standard range for the 100 A to 200 A current bracket. The unit uses Function code 03, version 01, and device version 2, and the five available slots allow auxiliary I/O or additional communication cards when needed.
