The DDC01.1-N100A-D is a servo drive module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It converts incoming line power into controlled motor current and evaluates encoder signals so the connected axis can follow commanded motion with closed-loop velocity, position, and torque control. In industrial automation lines, the unit is mounted near the machine axis to reduce the distance between the controller and the motor. This arrangement helps maintain stable response during acceleration, deceleration, and rapid changes in mechanical load.

The power section is designed for a line distribution voltage of 3 x 230 V AC, and it must be connected to three-phase AC mains so each inverter leg receives balanced input power. Internally, the converter tracks the grid at 50/60 Hz, allowing operation on common industrial utility frequencies without changing the basic connection scheme. Motor current is limited to 100 A in continuous operation, which sets the continuous thermal load for the output stage and the connected motor leads. A protection circuit trips when the DC bus reaches 475 V, disconnecting the drive from the supply to help protect capacitors and switching devices during regenerative conditions.

The enclosure has an IP65 rating, permitting direct mounting on machinery where dust and water jets are present. Control electronics accept rotor position information through digital servo feedback, enabling precise commutation and closed-loop response without analog adjustment. The unit includes 5 plug-in slots for modular interface cards, I/O functions, or additional signal connections, so communication and machine-level integration can be adapted to the application. Heat is removed by standard cooling, and the drive has standard noise emission for the 100 A to 200 A range.
