Product Description:
The DDC01.1-N050A-R is a digital intelligent servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It converts three-phase mains power into regulated, pulse-width-modulated power for precise control of compatible motors in automated machinery, conveying systems, and positioning equipment. Within an installation, the drive acts as the closed-loop interface between the CNC or PLC command layer and the mechanical axis, maintaining torque, speed, and position according to resolver feedback while protecting the motor against electrical and thermal overload.
Standard cooling pulls cabinet air across the heat sink, while the power section draws a continuous current of 25 A; at its full rating, the controller can supply a motor with 50 A. Its input uses a three-line supply of 3 × AC 230 V, and internal switching occurs at 8 kHz, providing fine resolution for velocity and torque commands. An overvoltage trip threshold of 475 V disconnects the drive from the DC bus to prevent stress on internal components. During normal operation, the bleeder circuit dissipates 0.25 kW continuously and channels regenerated power through a 6 kVA input path. Cabinet power loss is limited to 500 W, while harmonic noise remains within the Standard (100 A to 200 A) emission class.
For applications that repeatedly decelerate heavy loads, the power stage can absorb up to 10 kW of peak regenerative power and store 5 kWs before routing excess energy through the braking resistor. The drive supports a continuous mechanical load of 4 kW without derating. Its housing is rated IP65, and the unit weighs 21 kg, allowing direct installation on the machine frame. Resolver feedback travels through a dedicated cable that may extend up to 75 m; the required 8 × 0.25 mm² plus 2 × 1.0 mm² conductor arrangement preserves signal integrity over the cable run. The unit uses Version 1 electronics and belongs to Series 1 of the drive platform.
