The DDC01.1-K200A-R is a digital intelligent servo drive manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It supplies closed-loop power to synchronous servomotors for precise positioning and speed control on automated assembly lines, packaging machines, and material-handling axes. By converting three-phase mains power into a modulated output, the drive acts as the link between a machine PLC and the mechanical motion stage. This arrangement allows the controller to regulate motor torque and velocity in response to commands and feedback signals.
Under continuous duty, the drive delivers 45 A of output current and supports a continuous motor output of 7.5 kW. Heat generated at this load is removed through natural convection, so no forced-air cooling hardware is required. Internal regenerative energy is dissipated continuously at 0.25 kW, while the power stage switches at 4 kHz to maintain fine torque resolution. The electronics are protected by an IP65 enclosure, permitting installation outside a control cabinet when compatible connections and installation practices are used. The supply side accepts 3 × 230 V AC (+10%/−15%) at a frequency of 50 to 60 Hz. Acoustic output remains within the standard range for machines rated from 100 A to 200 A. Resolver feedback returns rotor position information to the drive, allowing it to close the position and speed loops without a digital encoder.
For transient moves, the inverter can source a peak current of 200 A, which is also the rated current of the inverter section. Its power section withstands short-term output demands of 33 kW and has an intermediate output rating of 15 kW. A separate short-term current limit of 90 A supports repetitive acceleration cycles while protecting the power components from excessive thermal loading. Excess DC-bus energy is managed by a peak bleeder capacity of 40 kW and an energy absorption capacity of 20 kWs, helping prevent overvoltage during deceleration. The cabinet transformer must provide 22.5 kVA to meet the maximum expected electrical demand. The unit weighs 22 kg and is produced as Series 1, Version 1. Its pulse-width modulation carrier remains unchanged during short-term and continuous operation, supporting stable current regulation during rapid indexing.
