Installed between the line supply and a synchronous motor, it converts incoming power into a regulated three-phase output while executing internal positioning logic. In packaging, assembly, and conveying equipment, the device closes the motion loop and can reduce the need for a separate PLC in single-axis applications. This combination of power conversion and axis control supports compact machine layouts where one controller must handle both motor regulation and stored motion tasks.
It operates from a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 220 V/230 V at 50 to 60 Hz, and its power stage is rated for 200 A. Heat is removed by natural convection, which allows fanless operation within the 100 A to 200 A noise class. The housing is sealed to IP65, helping keep dust and water jets away from the electronics. Control circuits use separate positive and negative voltage rails, and the servo channel reads digital feedback from the connected motor for closed-loop control. This arrangement lets the drive correct motor behavior in real time as load conditions change. The unit uses function code 01, version 1, and series index 1, while continuous phase monitoring and overcurrent trips protect connected axes during operation.
A built-in Single Axis Positioning module stores up to 3000 blocks of motion data, allowing indexing tables and palletizers to run stored sequences without an external controller. Expansion is available through 5 plug-in slots for I/O, communication, or safety cards that use the internal bus. The slot arrangement allows the base unit to be adapted for different machine interfaces. Field devices and brakes are supplied from an auxiliary line of +24 V, which helps simplify panel wiring for supporting components.
