The DDC01.1-K050B-RS03-03-FW is a digital intelligent servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. It combines power conversion, motion control, and protective logic to supply synchronous servomotors used in packaging lines, handling robots, and metal-cutting machines. By integrating the control kernel and power stage in one enclosure, the drive reduces panel wiring while delivering position-regulated torque for coordinated industrial axes.
During operation, the drive carries a continuous phase current of 50 A and interrupts the output at 1.5 × rated current to protect the power transistors against short-term overloads. The DC bus has an upper limit of 475 V DC and a lower limit of 200 V DC; voltage outside this range initiates an automatic shutdown. Its housing provides IP65 protection, permitting installation directly on machinery without a separate cabinet. Noise emission is reduced under rated operation, limiting acoustic disturbance on production lines. These operating protections help prevent damage to the power stage when abnormal current or bus voltage conditions occur.
The electronics are powered by a 24 V control circuit that draws 150 mA, and the same rail supplies a Bb relay contact rated for 24 V DC and 1 A for drive-ready signaling. Self-test current is limited to a diagnostic load of 4 mA. Analog status information is available through a ±10 V diagnostic output, while the measuring voltage load remains 100 mA. Ground-fault protection trips at 0.5 × IN, complementing the overcurrent and voltage safeguards. Field communication is handled by the SERCOS interface command module, and rotor position is measured through resolver feedback. Heat is dissipated through natural convection air cooling, eliminating the need for forced-air components. Configuration data use Function Code 03, Series 1, and Version 1 for the applicable control arrangement.
