Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s DDC01.1-K050B-DS61-00-FW is a servo drive from the DDC Digital Intelligent Servo Drives series. This Series 1, Version 1 unit provides closed-loop motion control for synchronous and asynchronous motors used in automated machining centers, material-handling axes, and packaging stations. Its power electronics convert incoming electrical power into controlled motor current, while onboard processing adjusts torque and speed in response to motion commands. Integrated feedback evaluation processes high-resolution position data so the drive can correct axis movement as operating conditions change.
The drive provides a continuous output current of 50 A, allowing it to operate medium-frame servomotors without current derating. It accepts a three-phase mains supply and dissipates heat through natural air convection, so separate fan wiring is unnecessary in a properly ventilated cabinet. The enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP65, protecting internal components against dust and low-pressure water jets. Encoder signals can travel through cables up to 75 m long because the digital servo feedback system uses differential signaling to resist electrical interference. Motion commands enter through the SERCOS interface, which supports synchronized communication between multiple axes over a fiber-optic loop. The controller’s gating logic requires a minimum on-pulse period of 100 ms. Acoustic noise remains low when the connected motor operates at the reduced rating.
Natural airflow requires an outlet clearance of 300 mm above the heat sink, while each side of the unit requires 65 mm of open space inside the cabinet. The control electronics operate from 24 V DC at 150 mA, and a 24 V DC supply also releases the motor brake when movement is commanded. An internal watchdog issues a bleeder warning when DC-link utilization reaches 75 percent, indicating that the regenerative load should be reduced. The warning allows corrective action before excess returned energy places additional stress on the braking circuit. If the DC-bus voltage falls to the 200 V Ud threshold, the unit disconnects power to protect its semiconductor components. These operating thresholds help prevent uncontrolled switching during low-voltage or high-regeneration conditions.
